The Northern Chaffee County Library District (Buena Vista Public Library) announces an opening on its Board of Trustees. Library Trustees serve a three-year term and are eligible for a second term. The Library Board meets regularly on the fourth Tuesday of odd months at 5:00 p.m. Trustees are civic-minded leaders who guide the policy, decision-making, and development of one of the community’s greatest assets. Letters of applications may be directed to the Board President at info@buenavistalibrary.org. Candidates must reside in the library service area (same as the BV R31 School District) and should become familiar with the by-laws, policies and strategic plan of the library. Volunteering
The Library thrives because of its volunteers. Volunteers help with classes, shelve books and movies, prepare materials, and complete special projects. If interested in volunteering, please complete BVPL Volunteer Application and BVPL Background Check forms and submit to volunteer@buenavistalibrary.org.
