From meditation to art gallery displays, we host a variety of programs that the community can appreciate and enjoy.

Teen/Adult CPR & 1st Aid

Wednesday, August 7th


Great opportunity for Teens & Adults to be certified in CPR and 1st Aid.  Living in a small, secluded and active community makes knowing

CPR & 1st Aid a huge asset.  12 years old and up.

A pizza lunch will be provided.  Sign-ups start July 15th.


July Art Show

Join us at the Library for a catered Artist Reception July 12 from 4:30-6:30 with Paul Kethley. His exhibit of original oil paintings “Once Upon a Time in the West” will be shown throughout the month of July.

Learn the Eight Dimensions of Wellness with FREE classes at BVPL

Starting this March the Buena Vista Public Library will host a different class each month on the Eight Dimensions of Wellness.  We will have books displayed  and information on digital resources related to each month’s wellness.

July’s Eight Dimensions of Wellness is Physical Wellness

This month the library will be displaying multiple books related to Physical Wellness.  Enjoy this great weather by getting physical in the outdoors!

August’s Eight Dimensions of Wellness is Intellectual Wellness

Join us Saturday August 17th from 1-3 for a talk with local author Jane Parnell. She will talk about the link between outdoor exercise and greater self-confidence and well being. Her memoir, Off Trail: Finding My Way Home in the Colorado Rockies, will be available for purchase after the talk.

Taming Tech Trouble

Every other Thursday at 3 pm

First come first served. Get help with simple technology use on any device at the Buena Vista Public Library.  Please call the Library with any questions on the scheduling 395-8700.
